The spinel NiAl2O4 and CoAl2O4 nano-aluminates have been efficiently synthesized by using sol-gel combustion heating method by using glycine fuel. The nano structured nickel aluminate and cobalt aluminate spinels were confirmed by the calcination reaction temperature. The influence of Ni++ and Co++ ions over Al2O3 forces system, leads to the great position in the substitution and development on thermal, spectroscopic, structural, morphological then catalytic behaviors of nickel and cobalt doped aluminates have been studied. It was observed that the synthesized aluminate material acts as effective nano-catalyst for the conversion of organic compounds. Therefore, these practices were confirmed to be useful for investigation of the deliberated structures which produced the number of outcomes.
Oxidation of 4-hydroxy acetophenone by tetrabutylammonium tribromide in 1:1 aqueous acetic acid medium has been investigated at 27⁰C spectrophotometrically. Stoichiometric result showed that one mole of tetrabutylammoniumtribromide was consumed for one mole of 4-hydroxyacetophenone. Kinetic study indicated that reaction shows first order dependence on concentration of oxidant and first order dependence on concentration of 4-hydroxyacetophenone. Increase in acid concentration decreases the rate of reaction. The activation parameters of the oxidation process have been investigated by studying reaction from 283 to 323K. Mechanism involving formation of complex between oxidant and 4-hydroxyacetophenone has been proposed. Final product was analyzed and identified from its melting point, chromatography and spectroscopically as 2-bromo-4’-hydroxy acetophenone. Based on the kinetic data and product analysis probable mechanism was proposed.
Food such as meat is a highly nutritious food but lacks in bioavailability of some nutrients such as iron and folic acid. Consumption of meat sometimes also lead to obesity, cancer etc. In order to enhance the functional properties of the food and to satisfy consumer demands various techniques are employed. Probiotics is one such method which can be stated as 'inoculation of live microorganisms under optimum conditions in a specific amount (as a feature of nourishment), provides medicinal benefits to the host. Strains from types of Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus are generally preferred. Several studies have been focued on alive microbes but very less attention is given to intracellular soluble fractions or postbiotics. Main aim of this review is to focus on the prevailing application of conventionally available probiotics in products to enhance the quality, preservation aspects, mandatory regulations and guidelines needed; and introduction to intracellular soluble fractions.
The overall aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of the Toxoplasma gondii in population of Kashmir valley and to study associated environmental and food habitat risk factors affiliated with infection. A total of 1055 sera samples were collected from three selected areas of Kashmir valley viz. central, south and north Kashmir. Serological results and epidemiological data collected through a standard questionnaire were statistically analyzed. The overall prevalence was 11.27% by using ELISA IgG. The association of the risk factors to the disease discussed in this study. Consumption of raw/undercooked salad, meat and exposure to soil through farming or gardening have been associated with a higher risk of infection. The present study indicates the need for public health education to raise awareness of risk factors for toxoplasmosis.

In this paper, a new Schiff base ligand (L), was prepared by condensation of 1, 7-bis-(4-hydroxy3-methoxyphenyl)-1, 6-heptadiene-3, 5-dione (Curcumin) with Semicarbazide. The transition metal complexes of Ligand, (M= Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) were also successfully synthesized and characterized by various spectroscopic techniques. The ligand and their complexes were characterized by powder XRD and SEM-EDAX analysis. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their anticancer activities against breast cancer cell line MCF-7 and Leukemia cancer cell line K562 by sulforhodamine-B (SRB) assay. Interestingly, the Schiff base (L) and its Mn (II), Co (II) and Zn (II) metal complexes showed superactive anticancer activity against MCF-7 and K562 cell lines. The DNA cleavage experiment performed using agarose gel electrophoresis method showed the cleavage of DNA by all metal complexes. In addition, the antioxidant and larvicidal activities were also done for all the metal complexes. The percentage of antioxidant scavenging activity and mortality of the larvicidal activity were also determined.
The present study emphasizes on the characterization and Potentiometric evaluation of the Binary copper [Cr3+] –Zidovudine and Ternary complexes Chromium metal ion Zidovudine drug and Some Biological important amino acids as the secondary ligands. The properties of the complexes investigated for determination of the Δ log K values in solution states with the help of Potentiometer in controlled experimental conditions. These metal complexes are evaluated for their formation on the basis of log k values. Metal complexes have shown their significant formation when compared to pure drug. The study of metal complexes is of special interest as per as their enhanced biological activities are concerned. This investigation thus aims at determining the stability constant of ternary metal complexes of chromium (III) ion with Antiretroviral Drug Zidovudine (AZT) and amino acids potentiometricaly in 80% (v/v) ethanol-water mixture at 27°C and fixed ionic strength 0.1M NaClO4.
